Russia did fire an “experimental medium-range” missile at Ukraine, but it will not “change the situation”, say the Americans
L’AFP received a communication from a senior American official who remained anonymous. He confirmed in his statement that Russia fired “an experimental medium-range ballistic missile” at Ukraine, and not an intercontinental missile.
Moscow “is seeking to intimidate Ukraine and the countries that support it by using this weapon, or to attract attention, but this will not change the situation in this conflict,” he said. According to him, Russia only has a handful of these “experimental” missiles.
