The Ministry of Education has announced that all courses inInternational School of Differdange were canceled this Thursday. In question? A fire which broke out on Wednesday evening. The establishment has indicated that classes will not resume on Friday.

The students of theDifferdange International School (EIDE) will be exempt from classes this Thursday, due to a fire which broke out on the evening of Wednesday, November 20, in a trash room of the establishment. “All classes at the EIDE primary and secondary school on the Differdange site are canceled,” indicates the Ministry of Education in a press release.

If the school buildings were not affected, for safety measures, the power had to be cut off and checks will take place throughout the day, this Thursday.

Fire teams from Sanem-Differdange and Pétange as well as an ambulance were on site Wednesday evening.

Classes canceled Friday

After assessing the damage, public building and business administration officials decided that classes will not be held on Friday. “Emergency reception for students who have no possibility of staying at home will be organized near the campus,” explains the establishment in an email sent to parents of students. The EIDE specifies that classes should resume normally from Monday, November 25.
