The Bordo FM radio studios in Saint-Médard-en-Galais, near Bordeaux, have been temporarily closed. The reason is unusual to say the least. This is a “diplomatic incident” that occurred with a Moroccan MP invited during a radio program. A rat came out of the attic and “fell on the head of a Moroccan deputy (…) and a ministerial youth delegate from the Moroccan government,” the radio said in a statement.
Following this unprecedented event, the headquarters of Bordo FM was temporarily closed for “reasons of public security, hygiene and diplomatic incident”, according to the radio, which asks the municipality of Saint-Médard-en-Galais to make a “statement to Moroccan representatives” who left with a “negative image” of the city.
In statements reported by the French media actu.fr, Hélène Costa, the deputy mayor of Saint-Médard-en-Galais, specified: “The building will soon be demolished to make way for social housing. It should therefore not be subject to renovation work.”
