Sunseeker Games and Ratalaika Games today announced the release on Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series of ‘Find Love or Die Trying’, a Murder Party and mystery themed visual novel.
‘Find Love or Die Trying’ is a game show run by Kat, a self-proclaimed gorgeous and “impossibly perfect” host and producer. The game places the player in the shoes of a contestant on a show of the same name, where they have just seven days to form a romantic relationship with one of the women on the tropical island.
All you have to do is find your perfect match, put the ring on their finger and leave the island… Sounds simple, right? After seven days, if you don’t have a partner, you die! “Puhuhu” as a certain mechanical bear would say…
When the game begins, the player wakes up on the set of the killer dating show with no memories, minutes before the cameras start rolling. The show’s director tells him that he must finish the show by getting one of the contestants to accept his marriage proposal within just seven days. Their first goal will be to get to know the contestants on the show and try to make a good enough impression on each of them to have a good chance of surviving the show. Then their next goal will be to try to develop the relationships so that they are strong enough for the last day’s proposal to be successful.
The player will then experience an ending based on the relationship they decided to pursue. Was the good relationship crazy? To put it simply, the ending is based on all the possible dates and choices throughout the game…. unless they die first!
