Sad news for regulars. Brad'Way and his permanent clearance sale conceptin Marquette-lez-Lille (North), it’s over. The 600 m² warehouse, which housed 115 private stands, officially closed to the public on Wednesday, November 20. Until November 23, only owners of items for sale will have access to the store to collect their goods. “We are sorry about this situation, it's the work of 5 years that collapses“, regretted the young managers of the place, in a Facebook publication which surprised loyal consumers.

We met them in January 2024, yet they were full of hope, delighted to be “on a niche that works”. Obviously not enough to maintain balance.

End clap for Brad'Way, the permanent clearance sale near Lille, placed in compulsory liquidation

The two friends in their thirties, Cédric Delahaye and Allem Zrouli, nevertheless fought to save their business. But the sentence fell, and it was the court which proclaimed it: Brad'Way has been placed in compulsory liquidation. “Despite our efforts to overcome the consequences of Covid and the repayment of debts, we were not able to find the path quickly enough to enable us to turn things around,” writes the team. She also expressed her gratitude to those who brought the concept to life: “We would like to thank you for these years of work and laughter. We will only remember the positive. »

Because the recipe for Brad'Way, a true temple of good deals, relied on buyers, of course, but also on sellers. The latter rented boxes for €18 per weekand exhibited all the objects they no longer wanted, for a period that they themselves set. In exchange, Brad'Way's team took care of sales, as in any store, provided price labeling equipment, anti-theft devices and took a commission of around 35%.

There is no doubt that young entrepreneurs will be able to bounce back. Before committing to Brad'Way, Cédric Delahaye planned to invest in a multi-sports complex. Perhaps we will find them again with a new concept, to further energize the Lille metropolis.
