It was in a studious atmosphere that the Taller Municipal Council met this Monday, November 18. All deliberations were voted unanimously. Among the subjects discussed, the energy renovation of the town hall, new plans for evacuating premises, the continuation of a clear felling of wood started in 2022, the use of the envelope of the FEC (Communities Equipment Fund , paid by the Department) for material investments, work within the school grounds, as well as the transfer of a plot containing the Departmental Council's telephone pylon were approved.

A second-class senior technical assistant position will be created, due to an advancement in rank of an agent.

The future of the Taller school was discussed. A public meeting was held to propose removing the school from the RPI (Intercommunal Educational Rally) which currently operates with the municipalities of Laluque and Lesgor. All families were consulted, the majority voted in favor of schooling kindergarten students in Castets, while all other primary levels would be taught in Taller. An impact study will be carried out, in conjunction with local authorities.

Photovoltaic park

Two lots in the Labourdit subdivision were sold. Consideration is being given to dividing the land into smaller areas, with the aim of better meeting buyers' demands.

The various questions dealt with a proposal to establish an alternative school outside of a National Education contract and a request for public lighting in the school parking lot.

At the end of the session, Claire Luciano, mayor of Taller, announced the passage of a new stage in the establishment of a ground-based photovoltaic park. The CoDERST (Departmental Council for the Environment and Health and Technological Risks) has given authorization for this project, which should see the light of day at the end of 2027.
