After the fire which ravaged seven chalets in the Barcarès Christmas Village, the teams quickly found solutions and are completing their installations to welcome the first visitors this Saturday, November 23.
The fire in the Barcarès chalets on November 11 is nothing more than a distant and bad memory for the Barcarès Christmas Village teams as the imminent opening scheduled for this Saturday, November 23 approaches.
In fact, the seven chalets which burned were urgently replaced by other chalets already in stock or by models from Germany. Two shipping containers were rented to install the bars. “In reality, we could have opened on Saturday November 16 as planned, by hiding the disaster area and redeveloping it little by little. But the teams were responsive, we didn’t even have the impression that there was a fire here. As of this Thursday morning, the installations of the new chalets will be completed and the restaurateurs will be able to start setting up“, explains Michel Sijta, general director of services at Barcarès.
The first visitors are expected this Saturday from 11 a.m.
