A well-known football player in Ligue 1, having played 208 matches there, Landry N’Guemo passed away on Thursday, June 27, following an accident in his native country, Cameroon.

The world of football is in mourning. This Thursday, June 27, several Cameroonian media outlets announced the death of Landry N’Guemo, at the age of 38. The former Cameroonian international (42 caps between 2006 and 2014) reportedly hit a sand truck with his car. He did not survive, nor did his driver. Tragic images showing the lifeless bodies were even published on social networks…

The disaster occurred in Ngomo, a few kilometers from Yaoundé, the country’s capital, which is also his birthplace. The midfielder began his career at AS Nancy Lorraine at the age of 20 in 2005 before joining the Girondins de Bordeaux with whom he played 83 matches between 2011 and 2014.
