In real estate, Pierre Perret is unfailingly loyal. Nothing beats investing in stone. Because that makes the singer has lived in the same house for more than 50 years. A magnificent stone house, which resembles a residence frozen in time where family reunions are legion. In the 1960s, the interpreter of Lily and his wife fell under the spell ofan old farm located in Nangis. In Seine-et-Marne, about thirty kilometers from Paris, they found the happiness and nature that Pierre Perret and Simone dreamed of.
“We bought an old farmhouse and then, little by little, we restored and expanded”he told Paris Match. Thanks to work and a thorough renovation, the old-fashioned residence has been transformed into a mansion with
“heated swimming pool and tennis”. Singer, Pierre Perret is also “a frenzied collector” who furnished and decorated this house with the finds he unearthed over the years.
A vintage decor
The decoration is a delicious mix of “hundreds of photos, retro posters, slot machines, rare books”
and paintings that adorn the walls of his living room. Still in love with Rebecca, Pierre Perret still lives there in 2024 and spent the confinement between the walls of his cozy nest. Over the years, he added a chicken coop and an orchard to the lush garden of his house.
“I moved here because I wanted to eat eggs straight out of my chickens’ asses,” he said with humor to our colleagues from the Seine-et-Marne Republic. What he likes about live surrounded by nature ? The tranquility that this situation offers him.
“I don’t have any neighbors and that’s precious. Nearby, I have a forest, a pond”he described on France Bleu.
Pierre Perret: “my paradise is at home”
Passionate about cooking, Pierre Perret is more than equipped in his house. “I go mushroom hunting regularly. And I know my places, I know my rivers and I know my places, my stopping points. My little paradise is at home”he assured. It is therefore logical that the singer did not
never wanted to move from Seine-et-Marne. Especially since he also has many memories with his children in his house in Nangis.
“There is always something that interests me. Wild strawberries, snails, at the moment chestnuts, another day porcini mushrooms or dandelions. I live in self-sufficiency, among my vegetables, fruits, rabbits, chickens and pigs”, he rejoiced to Paris Match. Fulfilled and happy in his house, Pierre Perret always made sure to return there when he was on tour. Faithful to the singer!
