La Maisonkifai and the Le Havre association Pop Up present the play “Meurt de laughter”, to be discovered at the Théâtre des Bains Douches. A show alone on stage, directed by Myriam Donasis and performed by Nathalie Lovighi, written as a sort of outlet: “After having each gone through the loss of relatives and close friends, we felt the need to talk about death. Not only in its painful dimension, but also in these paradoxically “living” moments that it provokes (…) It is undoubtedly the desire to exorcise pain, to understand it, and to offer the public a form of sharing, acceptance and lightness in the face of the inevitable. »
From blues to fits of laughter or anger
In “Meurt de laughter”, the actress plays the role of Francine, whose best friend suffers the death of her father. From then on, Francine will be present in all stages of her mourning: from the choice of the coffin to the ceremony, from the nights dancing to try to forget, from the blues to the fits of laughter or anger… Francine responds presently to the needs of her best friend in order to face, alongside her, the drama of death that everyone faces sooner or later. Above all, Francine will succeed in distilling laughter into these great moments of sadness!
