7 h 35. The rural coordination, which joined the movement yesterday, is holding its congress at Futuroscope, near Poitiers.
It must conclude with a show of force which will lead on Wednesday afternoon a procession of Futuroscope tractors (they will be joined at the White Houses by a second procession leaving from Civray) to Ruffec in Charente, at the gates of the logistics platform Leclerc Centers where they know they are eagerly awaited.
7 h 30. Update at 7:30 a.m.: Agricultural unions (FNSEA, Young Farmers, Rural Coordination) are firmly opposed to the free trade agreement that the European Union wishes to sign with the Mercosur countries: Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, notably. The “straw” that breaks the camel’s back, says the FNSEA while the demands are multiple: administrative simplification, support for treasuries, strengthening food sovereignty.
The mobilization gained momentum yesterday, Tuesday November 19, with the arrival of the Rural Coordination in the movement. In addition, a debate was announced in the National Assembly. It will take place on Tuesday November 26.
