The Arsenal player opened the score in the fourth minute of play with a beautiful volley from the edge of the area, and celebrated with his teammates with a jersey printed with “1000”, symbolizing the 1000th day of the war which started in Ukraine in February 2022.

Since the start of the war, the Ukrainian defender has repeatedly shown his attachment to his country. In tears for the first match of his selection, Zinchenko took several strong positions, such as no longer shaking hands with the Russians and Belarusians. Winner 2-1 in Albania thanks to a goal from Yaremchuk, the Ukrainians avoided relegation to League C and even finished second in their group behind the Czech Republic promoted to League A. On the other hand, the Albanians were condemned to the descent.
