Of the strong winds are hitting Loir-et-Cher which is also affected by a vigilance alert jaune rain-flood launched by Météo France, Tuesday November 19, 2024.
This is a storm that affects the majority of French territory. Météo France has put 70 departments on alert, different risks are envisaged: violent winds, submersion waves, flooding, rain-flooding or even avalanches depending on the territory.
Winds that can reach more than 90 km/h and feared flooding in Loir-et-Cher
In Loir-et-Cher, the Météo Centre-Val-de-Loire association indicates that the wind will blow from 60 to 80 km, in the northern half and from 70 to 90 km/h with local peaks at more than 90 km/h.
The gale alert is set for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The zephyr will be accompanied by rain which could cause, in places, floods. The alert is established from 5 p.m. and lasts until around 11 p.m.
As is always the case during these risky weather episodes, it is advisable to limit your movements as much as possible and keep away from watercourses.
