THE natural gas resources (national production and tax package) reached 1,649 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent (ktep) at the end of September 2024, thus recording a drop of 18% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the report on energy situation published by theNational Energy and Mines Observatory.
Decline in dry commercial gas production : -25%
The production of gaz commercial sec decreased by 25%. At the same time, the fee for the passage of the Algerian gas recorded a decrease of 8%reaching 711 ktep at the end of September 2024.
Champs Hasdrubal and Nawara : a significant drop in production
THE champs de gaz Hasdrubal and Navara saw their production drop respectively by 12% et 39%. The field of Mistakes also recorded a decrease of 19% of its production.
Southern Commercial Gas : increase in production of 12%
In return, the production of southern commercial gas experienced one increase of 12% at the end of September 2024 compared to the same period of the year 2023.
Tax package and Algerian gas transit : -8%
The Observatory also indicated a 8% reduction in the tax package on the transit of Algerian gasreaching 711 ktoe at the end of September 2024.
Samples STEG : excess recorded at the end of September 2024
An excess of samples from the STEG on the royalty due to the Tunisian State was recorded, amounting to 152 million cm³ at the end of September 2024, currently being regularized.
Algerian gas purchases : decrease of 2% in 2024
THE Algerian gas purchases have decreased by 2% between the end of September 2023 and the end of September 2024, amounting to 1 810 ktoe.
Natural gas supply in Tunisia : drop of 3%
The national supply of natural gas also recorded a drop in 3%located at 3 526 ktoe.
