DIRECT – Tractors from the Dordogne Rural Coordination join Périgueux to demonstrate

After the FDSEA this Monday, It is the turn of the Rural Coordination to mobilize this Tuesday, November 19 in Périgueux. around ten tractors and around thirty people leave from Creysse to join the prefecture at 10 a.m. for the first tractor demonstration of this act II of the mobilization of farmers.

“We can no longer pay ourselves”

At the end of this Tuesday morning, the tractors arrive in different convoys to converge at the roundabout at Place Yves Guéna. The farmers intend to once again make an impression, they affirm that nothing has changed since their last demonstrations almost a year ago. “There is a lack of income, this is our main problem, if we had it we would worry about fewer things, we can no longer pay ourselves”testifies this Tuesday Florent, a young winegrower living with his father in Saint-Méard-de-Gurçon, near Montpon-Ménestérol.

Meeting at 11:30 a.m.

At 11:30 a.m., a meeting is planned between Rural Coordination and state services at the prefecture. The rest of the program has not been revealed by the union, which is awaiting the results of this interview to decide on the continuation of their actions.
