She advanced towards him, threateningly, and shouted: “Stop grabbing my son, otherwise I’ll kill you!”
The matter could have ended there because the school principal and the teacher did not minimize this incident. “They brought together the mother, who threatened, and the boy, who had pushed his friend. A fruitful meeting during which the mother apologized to the boy and he in return shook her hand”explains Me Marc Kauten, counsel for the defendant.
But the mother of the boy who received the threats did not want to stop there and therefore filed a complaint, while adding, again according to Mr. Kauten: “If she comes near my son, I’ll blow up her house!”
The defendant’s lawyer asks for reason and assures that his client never intended to take action when she threatened this young boy. “My client has already had a disciplinary sanction from her municipal PO. She has four children and has never had a problem. There is room for an acquittal. Or at the very least for a suspension of the sentence.”
The prosecution is demanding a sentence of 50 hours of work.
Me Kauten also criticizes the civil party, Me Rachel Destrée, for claiming a sum “very exaggerated” €1,500 in damages.
