Accused of the murder of his aunt, which occurred in Laval in October 2023, Jérôme Alfred Frigault made a brief appearance in class on Monday, November 18 at the Laval courthouse. A preliminary investigation has been set for next March.
Mireille Martin, 61, was killed in her home on rue Paradis, in the Vimont district, a year ago, almost to the day.
Two hours before the tragic events, the victim had called the police, who intervened and left, without opening an investigation.
In the evening, the woman was found with several stab wounds.
His 30-year-old nephew, Jérôme Alfred Frigault, was arrested at the scene of the tragedy and charged with second-degree murder.
A preliminary hearing has been set for March 26 and 27. Several police officers will be interviewed on this occasion.
