The atmosphere remains tense. Despite the columnist's return to the show after his layoff last week, a little resentment seems to persist between the two men.
After being laid off by Cyril Hanouna for one evening, Thomas Guénolé was back this Monday, November 18 on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste”. In question? His support, by wearing a keffiyeh as a jacket pocket handkerchief, for Palestine that the presenter had not validated beforehand. And if he had felt betrayed and “trapped” by his columnist, the presenter wanted to clarify the situation. “We explained things to Thomas. We move on to something else”he soberly shared in the first part of the show.
“You noticed, by the way…”underlined the columnist while pointing to his empty jacket pocket. Cyril Hanouna, trying to drown out the fish, did not pick up and complimented him on his attire. “The turtleneck is nice. It’s what suits guys best.” But this peaceful atmosphere did not last long. The political scientist, particularly silent in the first part “Baba's tribe”, appeared in better shape when the subject of the budget for the Olympic Games was broached later in the show.

“If I hold on, it’s thanks to you”: mistreated in “TPMP”, why does Thomas Guénolé remain a columnist?
“Twitter is not the public”
The opening ceremony was particularly to the taste of the columnist, this was not the case for Cyril Hanouna. From there, viewers were able to witness a new divergence of opinions between the two men. “The bullshit, the Stage, the face of Marie-Antoinette… All that is not my thing. I think I look like my audience”piqued Cyril Hanouna with a bit of passive aggressiveness while Thomas Guénolé responded: “Yes, and I look like mine in this case. The mix.”
Be aware, however, that the buzz on the internet is not particularly consistent with reality.
Kelly Vedovelli to Thomas Guénolé
And even though the latter was being applauded by the spectators installed in the recording studio, the presenter said that he had no audience. “Yes, I’m sorry but it happened recently”replied the columnist, a mischievous smile on his lips referring to the support received on social networks after his suspension from the show. It didn't take much to set things on fire. “It’s not because you have two guys retweeting you. Trust me, Twitter is not the audience […] Thomas Guénolé had two tweets and that's it, he thinks he's Donald Trump. He left”quipped Cyril Hanouna while seeking support from his other columnists.
Kelly Vedovelli then got involved. “Know that the buzz on the internet is not particularly consistent with reality”she wanted to clarify. The presenter then explained that his audience represented a large number of French people while Thomas Guénolé only reached a small minority. “I am very happy not to represent the same France”added Cyril Hanouna. “You’re France, he’s the top of Montreuil”pressed Jean-Michel Maire. “I correspond to the TPMP audience from before”launched Thomas Guénolé before the host had completely closed the subject.
