A new director has been appointed to head the Bouchette fire safety service (SSI).

The elected officials made their choice on Councilor Pascal Saumure, a firefighter for several years within the Municipality. The mayor wanted to thank the former director, Richard Carle:

Steve Lefebvre

The former director of the fire safety service was present at the public meeting of the municipal council. He expressed his disagreement with the decision of elected officials to remove Fire Safety Service trucks from the barracks and park them in another location nearby. The choice of the council certainly influenced Richard Carle in his decision to leave his post. The mayor wanted to mention that the council’s choice was not made cheerfully:

Steve Lefebvre

Note that Pascal Saumure was absent from the board when he was appointed. Mayor Lefebvre affirmed that his colleague would withdraw from all discussions relating to the fire safety service.
