A tractor and a lawn mower were completely destroyed by fire, Monday November 18, 2024, in Melrand (Morbihan). The machines were used by a Baud community agent to clear the roadsides when the fire broke out.

A little before 2 p.m., Monday November 18, 2024, during a plant shredding operation on the shoulders of the D156, at a place called Bleun Brug, in Melrand (Morbihan), a rental tractor and its pruner, used by the Baud community, caught fire in the middle of the road.
The agent safe and sound
The officer was able to see smoke coming from the engine and clearing before the machines ignited. Twelve firefighters, from Pontivy and Guern, intervened to control the fire which completely consumed the machines. By 3 p.m. the fire was out.
