The Rouen police lift the veil a little on the dramatic accident which cost the life of a young 18-year-old woman on the morning of Sunday November 17, 2024. It was at 7:20 a.m. that the police went to the scene, in addition to emergency services.

A Peugeot 207 is found embedded in a treerue des Anémones in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray. It is a company vehicle, “that is to say it only has two seats in the front”, reports a police source to 76actu.

A 17-year-old already known to the police

Except that the vehicle was, according to the police report, occupied by three people. A 17-year-old young man, suspected of being the driver, a young 18-year-old woman who unfortunately died and another young man also aged 18.

Everything suggests “that the young woman was sitting on the passenger's lap during the accident,” says our source. The 17-year-old driver is already known to the police for driving without a license and refusing to comply.

The latter is seriously injured in the pelvis while the other passenger is slightly injured.

An ongoing investigation

According to initial information, the driver lost control of his car for an as yet undetermined reason. A police investigation must shed light on this accident. Investigators are also carrying out research on the alcohol level of the driver.
