Afterwards, they took us out of our playing patterns, they played to their strengths and had great skill. As we could no longer score, we gave up a little early. Physically, they hurt us. We only scored 27 points in the second half, the mass is said. We give them a lot of second chances. We lack discipline in our game and Basketball remains a sport of skill. When you don't put it in, it quickly becomes complicated. We had difficulty raising our heads. It's just a defeat, it's not the end of the world or the championship. The task was tough, but we knew we had the ability to do it as we gained strength. In preparation against them, we had gained the upper hand. We are continuing with what we are offering at the moment, we have been able to stay calm, let the storm pass and gain momentum as the minutes pass. We made mistakes in the first half and we waited for the right moment to put our game in place. It's a great team victory, a common effort and for a coach, that's what there is. is more pleasant to live in. Over time, we wrung them out. Bayeux is a very good team which, if it plays at its cruising speed, is difficult to play. If we rev them up, we can have them wear out.
My players were incredible, we had to be able to support the excitement surrounding this match. They showed serenity. The mistake would be to relax next week, after having made so much effort this evening. The road is still long and we still have a lot of travel. You have to stay focused. This is just one step among others. We are super happy, we have to rejoice in this victory until Monday and then get back to work. We made up for the Brest blunder and took a good option.
