However, beta program participants can now enjoy their fifth v12.xx beta update since October 25, the first of which shipped with over 70 changes. According to our calculations, this number should now reach 148, including the 15 changes distributed as part of the 12.19 beta. In summary, the new beta can be divided into three areas.
Ultimately, the 12.19 beta is another bugfix-heavy update, with 11 of its 15 changes aimed at fixing issues that were present in previous software. One of the biggest improvements in this regard is that all settings now apply correctly after restoring an Enduro 3, Fenix E or Fenix 8. Additionally, activities should no longer be accidentally saved when a device is turned off.
Beta 12.19 also adds Garmin's Reference Point app. Additionally, the update enables turn guidance by default and improves error messages for the company's Outdoor Maps+ service. Additionally, Garmin claims to have improved the timing of the active app indicator displayed on the watch face.
