Brittany Cup. (6th round) DC Carhaix (R3) – Plougastel FC (R1): 0-1
The Carhaisiens saw little of the ball during the first half hour of play, but remained solid and compact against a Plougastel team which played quickly and short. The chances were North Finistère, but the expulsion of Crenn (fault of the last defender) at the half hour of play would change the appearance of the match. An excellent Dagorn was needed in the cages to prevent the locals from opening the score, author of a double save from a free kick just after the red card. However, upon returning from the locker room, it was Plougastel who scored through Thomas, well served by Kerampran (0-1, 54'). Carhaix then pushed without succeeding in finding the net, despite the last opportunity from Le Roux, valuable at the forefront, whose shot was repelled by Dagorn (90'+2). Jean-Noel Nonnotte, coach of Plougastel FC, was satisfied with this qualification: “We did not capitalize on our chances at the start of the match, it was very difficult afterwards with this red card, questionable in my eyes, against a great Carhaix team , but the victory is there.
