Clermont Foot 63 avoids the trap and qualifies for the 8th round of the Coupe de France by winning 3-0 against CS Feytiat, a club playing in R1, 4 divisions below our Clermontois.
Under a beautiful sun, our Clermontois made their debut in the Coupe de France on the Saint-Lazare field in Limoges to face CS Feytiat, a club playing in R1, 4 divisions below Clermontois.
The first quarter of an hour of play was largely in favor of the Auvergnats, who opened the scoring in the 8th minute. Diop, on the right side, finds Mehdi Baaloudj behind, the latter takes a touch to find the opposite corner of the Feytiat goalkeeper. If the rest of the first period boiled down to sterile domination by the Rouge & Bleu, Feytiat's players found themselves in some good situations (27', 38'), well repelled by Théo Guivarch, the Clermont goalkeeper.
If the Clermont goalkeeper makes the necessary save in the 58th minute against Feytiat's attacker, the second half is a carbon copy of the first. The Clermontois doubled the lead thanks to Ousmane Diop, well served by Théo Guivarch on a long clearance (59'). The Clermontois controlled the rest of the match without putting themselves in real danger before closing the match with a new goal from Yohann Magnin at the very end of the match (90'+3').
Laurent Batlles' men provide the essentials and will find, in the 8th round, Angoulême FC (N2), who disposed of Rodez (2-1) last night.
