ClioMakeUp: who is she, age and height

Clio was born in Belluno on November 15, 1982 and is 42 years old. She is approximately 1.67 m tall.

Biography

Clio Zammatteo, born in Veneto in Belluno, studied at the Leonardo Da Vinci artistic high school in Belluno, where she graduated in 2004. She followed the video design course at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and in 2007, for her thesis she collaborated in the production of Vitellopoli, an unofficial music video of the song “Il vitello dai piedi di balsa” for Elio e le Story Tese.

Career as a makeup artist

After her studies, Clio decides to turn her life around and moves to New Yorkwhere she learned to speak English fluently and attended the Make Up Designory professional makeup artist school.

But the real turning point took place in 2008, when on July 26 she opened the ClioMakeUp channel on YouTube, a real success which recorded more than a million subscribers and more than 200 million views. Even today, it is one of the most followed profiles on YouTube Italy. From there began collaborations with Vogue and Pupa, and the publication of makeup manuals. Then television: in 2012, she hosted her own television program on Real Time, with good audience results.

But she also continues as a makeup artist for fashion shows and events: during Milan fashion week in 2013, she was in fact makeup team leader for Maybelline during the Kristina Ti and Fatima Val fashion shows. In 2018, she launched her own line of cosmetics under the brand “ClioMakeUp” and returns with a program on Real Time, “Clio missione mamme”. In 2019, it then opened four Clio Pop Up points of sale in Milan, Florence, Padua and Naples, an experience which since 2020 has given its name to a new television program, still on Real Time. The same year, she announced that she had returned to Italy. Finally, in 2021, she announced Clio Back Home for Discovery+, a docuseries about her life.

During this year, she was also the make-up artist for the singer Rose Villain at the Sanremo Festival.

Private life: husband and daughters

ClioMakeUp lived for over ten years in New York with her husband Claudio Midoloan Italian game designer. The couple had two daughters: Grace Cloe Midolo, born July 29, 2017, and Joy Claire Midolo, born April 22, 2020.

On July 9, 2024, however, she announced on her social networks her separation from her husband, already speculated by fans for a series of signs on social networks, from the disappearance of the wedding ring on the finger, to tears in the stories. “The truth is that perhaps the last year has been the most difficult of my life,” Clio Makeup confides in tears on Instagram. “I’m going through a shitty time. I immerse myself fully in work. I’m sad but I try not to show it. The reason? It’s not easy, it’s a mixture of many things accumulated over time and situations that I experience,” she said.

The announcement of the separation

Finally, the official press release arrived on Clio MakeUp’s social profiles: “In the spirit of sharing that has always characterized our union – we read – with a heavy heart, we announce our separation”. Still in the note, they wrote: “Deeply grateful for the union that was, like many, we loved each other, but, like many, we too, after experiencing ups and downs, conflicts and dark moments – which we tried, with reciprocal commitment, to counter – we arrived at a conscious, intimately considered and painful decision: our personal journeys separate, after a long bond of eighteen years, after having built a lot together – despite our young age – first in the United States, then in Italy, and after seeing the birth of our much-loved daughters, whose well-being is now our top priority.”
