A few hours before the end of the electoral campaign, Ousmane Sonko, head of Pastef’s list, took a trip to the Medina. Opportunity taken by the head of the Pastef list to criticize the opposition once again, while calling on the young people of the Medina to mobilize for the victory of the list he leads on the evening of tomorrow’s legislative elections. By Amadou MBODJI –
On tour in the Dakar department yesterday, Ousmane Sonko visited the commune of “Medina, brilliantly led by Ousseynou Ly”. The head of the Coalition list Pastef took the opportunity to attack the opposition which he considers to be “out of breath”. He thus called on young people “to mobilize, with their voting card, to make a difference on Sunday, November 17.”
“The campaign went exceptionally well, thanks to fantastic campaigners and supporters. From inside the country, I saw magnificent images of Medina in the countryside, and I was already telling myself that Medina had voted for Pastef. But let’s remain vigilant. Even though there are only two clock turns left before the end of the campaign, let’s redouble our efforts. This Saturday, rest, take out your identity cards, and on Sunday, be numerous at the polls to offer President Diomaye a comfortable majority in the National Assembly. We will confirm more than ever our victories of 2022 and 2024, and the defeat of the opposition will be bitter,” he declared with confidence.
Ousmane Sonko also urged his activists to actively engage in the development of the country, by putting their hands to work to build a better future.
To end his electoral campaign, Ousmane Sonko will travel to his stronghold of Bignona, more than 400 km from Dakar, where he intends to galvanize his supporters one last time before election day.
Ousseynou Ly, one of the influential leaders of the Pastef party, also minister-advisor in charge of digital communication to the President of the Republic, gave a warm welcome to his political leader, Ousmane Sonko, in his stronghold in the Medina.
