The match between Romania and Kosovo has been interrupted. While neither team was deciding, the Kosovar players, including Edon Zhegrova, decided to leave the pitch at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. In the images, we see the Romanian striker of Ferul Constanța Denis Alibec clashing with Amir Rahmani, Kosovar central defender of Naples. Visitors denounce racist chants from the Romanian public.

Romania already sanctioned

On September 12, 2023 in the same stadium, the Euro 2024 qualifying match against Kosovo (2-0 victory) was interrupted. Romania was sanctioned with a match behind closed doors and a fine.
