The flames and smoke appeared around 1:20 p.m. this Friday, November 15, rue de la Cité in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone.
This Friday, November 15, around 1:20 p.m., Hérault firefighters intervened in large numbers at 45 rue de la cite, in a two-story building housing a garage on the ground floor.
It was in the said garage, where various items including books were stored, that a fire broke out. The flames were contained thanks to the intervention of firefighters who prevented any spread to the accommodation on the first and second floors.
No injuries to report
As a precautionary measure, all the occupants of this town house converted into apartments were evacuated as well as those from rue du Marché-aux-Raisins just behind, thanks to the support of municipal police officers.

No injuries were reported except for one person who was taken to hospital for check-ups after inhaling smoke. The local gendarmerie brigade was seized of the investigation.
