Legislative elections 2024: “For the assholes who use the same propaganda as the fascists”… Mathieu Kassovitz gets angry at a sequence where he calls “to try the RN”

A sequence by director and actor Mathieu Kassovitz has been circulating on the networks since Saturday evening. Wrongly according to him.

“For all the idiots, imbeciles, assholes who use the same propaganda tools as the fascists and accuse me of having declared to vote RN. Here is a larger extract from this interview and you even have the possibility to see the 25 minutes complete on LCI (if you have the cognitive abilities) and form your own opinion (if you have one)”. “Have a nice weekend and go vote next week.”

The actor and director, Mathieu Kassovitz, did not beat around the bush this Sunday afternoon, in response to a sequence broadcast on the LCI Infos website but which ended up truncated on social networks leaving hearing that the director of “La Haine” called for voting for the National Rally during the legislative elections of June 30 and July 7.

In the entire sequence, the actor and director admitted that he loved the revolution (without saying the word entirely) but that he was always “a little bit waiting for the arrival of the RN in France” to see, he said, “what [sera] the real reaction of the French”.

And, in a somewhat convoluted intellectual journey, for him, there will then be an answer to a question that he fundamentally asks himself: “Are we really the country of human rights or is it that we have become something else? That’s also interesting.

“I am for violence in the face of violence,” he said earlier in this interview given Saturday evening to LCI. “Maybe the RN has its place in France, maybe they will do a better job… In any case, it’s perhaps an experiment to try […] We’ll never really know who we are if we haven’t gone through that stage,” he explained. For the director, “whether it’s Jordella [sic]Le Pen or someone else, I think that at one point, we will change.”

In his message published on Instagram this Sunday, Mathieu Kassovitz seems less ambiguous.
