A “lady who meant so much” for her. This is how Valérie Trierweiler presented this Thursday, November 14 Jacqueline, one of her friends who unfortunately passed away, in a publication which paid tribute to her on Instagram. Usually discreet about her private life, the journalist and former television host chose this Thursday to open up to her subscribers, not hiding her pain from them as she had to say goodbye to one of her loved ones, met when François Hollande’s former partner was just 17 years old.
The author of It’s for a friend! Manual for fifty-somethingsthus confided to his audience that he had worked for five years with Jacqueline, who was his boss in “a pretty boutique in Saint-Gilles-Croix-Vie, the Byblos”. Annual reunions that led the young woman she was to grow up with the one who mentored her at work, becoming “a friend dear to my heart”specifies Valérie Trierweiler. “She was generous, she was cheerful and always encouraging and positive”continued the former resident of the Élysée, before addressing the family of the deceased: “I am thinking of her husband Gérard, her daughters Annabelle and Nathalie as well as her granddaughters.” And to conclude: “We will miss Jacqueline, forever.”

A message that provoked strong reactions
Obviously very touched by this disappearance, Valérie Trierweiler was able to count on the support of her subscribers to endure this ordeal. Many of her fans expressed their condolences to her, while others shared her grief, having already met the deceased. “I had the chance to experience this great adventure with Jacqueline and Valérie. Thoughts for the whole family who are also my friends”confided for example the owner of a shop close to the one in which the journalist began her adult life. “You tell me some not very happy news”commented another subscriber of Valérie Trierweiler from Saint-Gilles-Croix-Vie. Alone facing this painful loss, Valérie Trierweiler knows that she can find comfort in her community.
