Smoke is still emerging from the house, located a stone’s throw from the former La Plantation nightclub, in Plouisy. “There will be surveillance at least until 8 p.m. this evening”assures Captain Bruno Taton, head of rescue operations, from the Goudelin center.
The alert was given around 11:30 p.m. this Wednesday evening. When help arrived, the attic and roof of this 150 m² building were completely engulfed in flames. Inside there is a family of four. The father and son, aged 62 and 29, had to be treated and transported to hospital after inhaling smoke.

A collection point at the town hall

Up to 30 firefighters from the centers of Guingamp, Pommerit-le-Vicomte, Bgard, Belle-Isle-en-Terre, Goudelin, Pontrieux and Lanvollon were mobilized at the height of the fire. “A shift was carried out at 4:30 a.m.”reports Captain Taton.
The fire was extinguished using three water hoses, one of which was on a ladder. The firefighters are now working to cool the interior of the house, which they cannot enter, in particular because of the collapse of the wooden floors.
