Savoyard firefighters intervened for a chalet fire in Montricher while in Haute-Savoie an old farm in Aravis caught fire.

Two fires mobilized the firefighters of the Pays de Savoie. The first in Thônes late Tuesday afternoon, the second during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in Maurienne, in Montricher-Albanne.

Chalet fire in Savoie

A fire broke out overnight in Maurienne, around 2:30 a.m. in a chalet in Montricher-Albanne, route des Adrets. The house was completely engulfed in flames when the Savoyard firefighters arrived. The owner of the premises got out in time and was not injured. The fire was extinguished on site but operations were still in progress early this Wednesday morning.

Farm fire in the Aravis

The Haute-Savoie firefighters intervened on Tuesday afternoon in Thônes shortly before 5 p.m. for a fire on a former farm used for residential use of 200 m². The fire started in partitions near a stove. Two men aged 48 and 60 were transported to hospital following carbon monoxide fumes.
