Murder of Lola: “Maybe I shouldn't have taken that nap…”, the moving story of the young girl's mother

These are facts that date back to October 14, 2022 when the body of Lola, aged 12, was found in a suitcase in . The teenager had been kidnapped before being raped and Dhabia B., the main suspect, admitted to being behind this murder. In the show
It starts today This Tuesday, November 12, Lola's mother agreed to speak, delivering a moving testimony, revealed a few hours before the broadcast. Delphine Daviet remembered this day which destroyed her life.
“That day, we normally left in the evening for the mobile home we own, on the coast,” she declared before adding: “I was packing my bags to leave in the evening and at lunchtime, I decided to take a little nap because we have a little break in between.”

Lola's parents were delighted to take advantage of this stay. Today, Delphine Daviet says she has a lot of regrets about this nap. I tell myself that maybe I shouldn't have taken that nap
because usually, I go out at that time when she comes home so I would definitely have bumped into her,” she said. Wracked with guilt, Lola's mother explains that her nightmare began when she woke up. “I woke up with a start and not seeing her come home, I said to my husband:
'it's not normal, it's weird, it's not his habit not to warn'“,
she explains. Quickly, Delphine Daviet understood that something was wrong. But where was Lola, who should have returned a long time ago?

Delphine Daviet: “My mother’s body was broken”

Faced with the absence of her daughter, Delphine Daviet immediately imagined the worst. “The moment I didn’t have any news, I said to myself it’s not good, something has happened. I felt it right away, my mother's body was broken right away“, she declared. But where could Lola be? As a reminder, the teenager's body was only found a few hours later. “Around 11 p.m., by a homeless person,” said Johan Daviet, the young girl’s father, in the show Seven to Eight.
According to his words, he had been “left in a trunk in front of our house, in front of the residence”, he continued.

This day has never been forgotten by Lola's parents but also by the French. A few days after the tragedy, Lola's parents went to the Paris Medico-Legal Institute, where their daughter's body was found. For the first time since her murder, they learn of the nightmare she experienced.
The autopsy report, I read it, my wife too. I have it in my head, it's horribledeclares Johan Daviet. Written sentences that are engraved in his memory. “I wouldn’t wish anyone to experience what she experienced”he concluded.

Delphine Daviet: “a big stab”

Lola's life was shattered that day but also that of those close to her. As the autopsy results indicated, the girl suffered the worst horrors. “I felt a big stab at that moment,” assures Delphine Daviet who then adds: “We really knew everything she had done to him and it hurt. She stopped breathing on her own.” According to doctors, Lola died of asphyxia. “She didn’t suffer”confides Delphine Daviet. A small consolation for a mother whose little daughter has experienced the worst.

During the show, there is also Thibault, Lola's older brother, who will speak. In particular, he will read a letter to his little sister, revealed by The Parisian. In it, he asks Lola for forgiveness. “I'm writing you this note already to tell you how much I miss you since you left to see the stars”, he begins before continuing:
“I’m so sorry. Basically it's the other way around. The role of a big brother is to protect his little sister, I didn't even manage to do that. I hope you will forgive me one day”. Heartbreaking words and a drama that has never been forgotten.
