Prince Harry is currently in Canada, on the sidelines of the Invictus Games which will take place in Vancouver in February 2025. This Sunday evening, the Duke of Sussex surprised American Football fans, by attending a Canadian Cup match between the teams Toronto and Winnipeg. Prince Harry was interviewed on television.

Prince Harry in Vancouver to prepare for the next Invictus Games
Prince Harry of the United Kingdom, 40, is already starting his first tour promoting the next Invictus Games, which will take place from February 8 to 16, 2025 in Vancouver, Canada. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, is currently in Canada to prepare for this major sporting event and promote it to the population. Prince Harry is the second son of King Charles III, King of Canada and therefore head of state of the country.
The Invictus movement was born in 2014 and since then, already six editions have been organized around the world. Vancouver will host the seventh edition with the city of Whistler. This will also be the first winter edition. The Invictus Games are a kind of Olympic Games for veterans and injured military personnel.

Duke of Sussex makes surprise TV appearance before American football match in Canada
This Sunday, November 17, Prince Harry decided to have fun in the evening, after working on preparing the event during the day. It was to the Vancouver football stadium that he went to satisfy his passion for sport. That evening, the Toronto Argonauts beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 41 to 24. This match was part of the Gray Cup calendar, the cup of the Canadian American Football League (CFL).

Prince Harry took the opportunity to promote the Invictus Games in the city, agreeing to do an interview. Prince Harry joined the TSN TV set, which was set up at the foot of the pitch before the match, and he answered questions from sports journalist James Duthie. On set, Prince Harry was accompanied by former Canadian Navy soldier Wenshuang Nie, who will participate in several competitions at the next Invictus Games, notably in biathlon and skeleton.
The interview focused on the Invictus Games and Prince Harry's sporting affinities. The journalist drew the parallel between American football and rugby, which is the sport closest to it, knowing that Prince Harry played rugby in his youth. The Duke of Sussex said he would definitely have played the quarterback position if he had been an American football player. Before leaving the set, Prince Harry added that he was “very excited” to set foot in this stadium again, in three months, because it is here that the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games will take place.
