The meeting between the French football team and Israel, scheduled for this Thursday, November 14 at the Stade de , is classified as “high risk” by the authorities, and some intend to cancel this League of Nations match. A rally, supported by La France insoumise (LFI), is planned for Thursday in front of Saint-Denis Town Hall, according to The Team.

The prefecture could ban this gathering

Only 1.5 km from the Stade de France, holding this gathering could be a source of problems, as Israeli supporters could pass through there to get to the stadium. In the event of threats of “disturbing public order”, the police headquarters could be forced to ban this gathering.

According to the daily The Teama dialogue is underway between the authorities and the organizers in order to relocate this gathering, a solution in no way envisaged by Éric Coquerel, LFI deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis. “There is no plan B and no point in holding this gathering elsewhere. It was local committees in Saint-Denis that made this request. […] On the side of the demonstrators, there is no desire for excesses”, he commented to the newspaper The Team.
