HK-Pack Krautscheid GmbH from Grafschaft Gelsdorf and HBW Pack GmbH from Bremen are participating for the first time together at this year’s ExpoSE in Karlsruhe, the leading trade fair for agricultural direct sales in Germany. With extensive experience in the field of packaging solutions for fruit and vegetables, including paper bags, trays and service packaging, the two companies now want to combine their skills in the agricultural and food packaging sector to to offer tailor-made solutions to farmers and direct sales companies throughout Germany.
HK-Pack has established itself in southwest Germany as a reliable partner and major market player, while HBW, with its six locations in northern and eastern Germany, ensures close proximity with its customers. This partnership is based on the establishment of a common product range and coordinated planning of supply, logistics and distribution of the two companies. The featured paper potato bag
One of the highlights of the company’s presence at ExpoSE is the first joint product catalog, which presents a wide selection of packaging solutions for the agricultural economy. Both companies are particularly proud of the first jointly developed product: a paper potato bag with a visible 9-hole cutout and moisture-resistant gluing. This innovative solution is available from stock as a plain bag or with custom printing, ideal for direct sales in retail or use in vending machines. The window helps keep the contents clearly visible and, being entirely made of paper, the bag is recyclable and biodegradable.
“Thanks to bundled procurement, we can offer attractive prices even for special productions from small quantities,” explains Benjamin Wegner, Sales Manager of HK-Pack GmbH. The range is completed by numerous other bags, baskets, trays and flexible packaging, meeting the specific needs of the agricultural and food sector.
expoSE, an international and intersectoral meeting
The expoSE/expoDirekt trade fair duo has experienced extremely positive developments in recent years, becoming both more international and more cross-industry. A trend that Benjamin Wegner wants to see continue. “The show remains an essential event for meeting our current and potential customers, and staying informed of the latest trends in direct sales and fruit and vegetable growing. We therefore plan to continue to actively participate in it.”
