This Tuesday evening ended the first day of the Euro 2024 groups. Group F was on deck and only 2 matches were on show.
Turkey first won 3-1 against Georgia. Trailing 1-0 on a goal from Mert Müldür (25′), Georgia came back thanks to an equalizer at 32′ from Messin coveted by the RC Lens Georges Mikautadze. But the Turks regained the upper hand after the break with goals from Arda Güler (65′) and Kerem Aktürkoglü (97′).
The Portuguese in the snatch
In the other group match, Portugal Cristiano Ronaldo pulled away to beat the Czech Republic 2-1. Luka Provod (62′) allowed the Czechs to lead 1-0 but the Portuguese reversed the momentum of the match thanks to an own goal from Robin Hranac (69′) and an achievement by Francisco Conceiçao (92′). Turkey and Portugal therefore take the lead in this group. From this Wednesday, it’s time for the 2nd day. From 3 p.m., Croatia will face Albania in Group B then 2 Group A matches will be organized: Germany-Hungary (6 p.m.) and Scotland-Switzerland (9 p.m.). Find the full program below.
