This Friday, November 15, the Café des Ducs will host the 4e episode of the Owl Cypher season. But what is a cypher? It's a kind of jam session for rappers. And owl which means owl, is in reference to the symbolic animal of Dijon. For this evening, Siiré, LeHazz, Yuume and DJ Chotto will perform.
Five teams compete
This format began in May and features three emerging rappers from the Dijon scene and surrounding areas, and a DJ at each event. Each team of four artists competes with artists from other episodes. “The scores are calculated based on the number of entries, the atmosphere assessed by the organizer and that assessed by the establishment,” explains Kevin, the organizer. And they go out after every party.” And added: “Around 150 people on average came to the episodes. »
For this first season, five episodes are planned in total. “The final episode is already scheduled for December 6. I haven't announced the lineup yet. At the end of this last episode, we will know who will win this season 1,” adds the initiator.
