Table tennis. Jules Cavaillé (Caen TTC): “I would like to gain in consistency”

His coming to

“I have ambitions on a personal and collective level. I want to play at the highest level and the Caen TTC sports project ticked a lot of boxes. I already feel very fulfilled in Caen, I am convinced I made the right choice.

Even though I had no doubts about it, the atmosphere is excellent within the team and that counts for a lot. I'm surrounded by thirty-somethings, I learn from them and we laugh outside the table. I want to play every match but I know my status. I'm number 4, I have to accept not playing all the time. »

The reunion with Villeneuve

“I spent four seasons in Villeneuve, that’s where I started with the pros. I remained very close to Cédric Lepage, the coach. If I enter the playing field, it will be very strange to play against him and his team. But it wouldn't impact me mentally. It’s sport that wants that. I would have no problem going up against players I used to train with. »

Gain consistency

“I tend to be dangerous against guys stronger than me and have more trouble against players of my level or lower. I need to become more consistent and raise my average level. To evolve, it is essential.

It's enriching to play with guys like Manu (Lebesson) or Ouaichou (Stéphane Ouaiche). Manu has been constantly hanging on since the start of the season. But he never lost. He manages not to panic. This is the key element of our team, from which we must draw inspiration.

CAEN : Lebesson (N°22), Ouaiche (N°40), Jancarik (N°43), Cavaillé (N°83).

VILLENEUVE : Gomez (No. 77), Omotayo (No. 80), Llorca (No. 126).
