A better goodbye, at least on paper, was almost impossible, or at least that’s the opinion of Aleix Espargaró who prepares to say goodbye to Aprilia Racing and his job as a full-time rider on the Montmeló circuit, which he considers a ‘choice’ and many successes for the #41.

In the preview of the last round of the year, Espargaró was happy that it took place on a circuit that he knows well and which has brought him good results individually in recent years:

Barcelona is my favorite track. I really like it and it suits both me and the Aprilia. We have achieved fantastic results here. We have won three of the last four races and we also hold the track record. These are all signs that we can fight to stay ahead.

The Spanish driver recalled what will happen, and the goodbye to the Italian team for which he has worked since 2017: ‘I would love to finish my last race with Aprilia competitively, with my eyes on the podium. I will try to stay fully focused from the first session and we will do our best to bring back a good result.’
