UA worker from a public works company raised the alarm this Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in the middle of the morning after a gas pipe was torn on an earthworks site behind the Pauchet clinic, Allée des Pays-Bas in . GRDF services were immediately called to the scene and noted a gas leak.

Around twenty patients and eight practitioners evacuated

Firefighters arrived as reinforcements and set up a security perimeter. They also evacuated the building closest to the leak: the gastroenterology and ophthalmology department. In total, around twenty patients and eight practitioners were evacuated to a neighboring building. According to our information, the latter had evacuated the scene before the arrival of emergency services.

Shortly before midday, the gas leak was stopped but the security perimeter had still not been lifted while the firefighters carried out the checks. Personnel from the national police and municipal police were also on the scene to enforce the security perimeter and in particular to prohibit access to a parking lot.
