The Saint-Gobain PAM teams are delighted to have obtained their gold medal from the EcoVadis label, which places them among the 5% of companies (out of several tens of thousands evaluated each year) having obtained this rating at the level global. PAM is above all the only European producer of cast iron water networks to obtain this level. The EcoVadis assessment takes into account 21 CSR criteria divided between four fundamental themes: Environment, Social and Human Rights, Ethics and Responsible Purchasing.
Ratings are derived from an analysis based on “evidence of performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.”
This year, the organization awarded its highest marks to PAM for the overall policy of reducing environmental impact in which the company is actively engaged:
– reduction of water and energy consumption,
– planned reduction of CO2 emissions thanks to electric oven projects,
– team training, certifications, audits.
Ecovadis also gives excellent marks to PAM for:
– the “social and human rights” part (working conditions, social dialogue, prevention and training measures);
– the ethical part (assessments of corruption risks, information security, fight against anti-competitive practices, etc.);
– the responsible purchasing policy: integration of social and environmental clauses for suppliers, CSR risk analysis, etc.
This gold medal is a guarantee of confidence for those involved in the water and pipes sector. It allows customers to ensure that the company is truly committed to sustainability, ethics and transparency.
