The Pas-de-Calais firefighters had work to do this Monday, November 11, 2024. A fire broke out at the McDonald's in Saint-Martin-Boulogne. The restaurant had to be evacuated by emergency services.

Around ten people evacuated

Firefighters intervened at 3 p.m. in the Auchan commercial area of ​​Saint-Martin-Boulogne to “ a fire in an establishment open to the public“, underlines the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis). It was McDonald's fast food restaurant.

In total, 15 people, 5 employees and 10 customers, were evacuated from the restaurant before the firefighters arrived. “After recognition, it was a malfunction in the electrical panel which caused a slight release of smoke,” it is specified. No injuries have been reported, nor will there be any technical unemployment. ERDF, GRDF and the police were on the scene.
