Bad news for motorists driving on diesel, the price of this fuel has increased by several cents in a few days. Opposite, the gasoline remained stable.
Last Tuesday, November 5, the liter of diesel sold for €1.62 on average in France according to data from the Carbu.com website. A stable price for around ten days which suddenly increased at the end of last week to reach €1.66 per liter on the day after a long weekend!
Difficult to understand because nothing suggested an increase. On the contrary. We expected the liter to lose a few more cents thanks to a fairly low barrel price in recent weeks. We will therefore have to follow the trend in the coming days to see the increase is confirmed or if it was only temporary.
Car other fuels see their prices remain at the average of recent days. Unleaded 95 (E10) sells for €1.74 per liter. Count €1.02 per liter of LPG and €0.81 per liter of Superethanol-E85.
Less than €1.60 per liter of diesel in certain brands, it's possible
However, motorists with a diesel car should be aware that there are brands where the liter sells for less than €1.60 this Tuesday, November 12. This is the case at Leclerc for example with its Drive and Express versions. Carrefour Contact and the Système U group stores sell €1.60 per liter.
