Kylian Mbappé’s first match at Euro 2024 should not be his last. The captain of the France team came out with a bloody nose during the victory against Austria on Monday in Düsseldorf, causing great concern in the French camp. The new Real Madrid striker went to the hospital in the evening to undergo radiological examinations. Who wanted to be reassuring.
“No operation, it will be fine,” declared the president of the French Federation Philippe Diallo. The striker certainly suffered from a broken nose, but he was able to return to the Blues’ base camp near Paderborn (North Rhine-Westphalia) during the night. If his participation in the Group D clash against the Netherlands is not yet assured, he should soon be able to return to the field.
“A mask will be made in such a way as to allow a resumption of competition to be considered after a period dedicated to treatment,” indicated the French staff. For his part, Kylian Mbappé chose to stay in good spirits. On social networks, he asked his followers: “Any ideas for a mask?”, allowing Internet users to make some funny montages.
