MOn November 5, 2024 at 1 p.m., a fire broke out at the Quatre Rivières intercommunal recycling center in Viuz-en-Sallaz / Peillonnex. Thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighters, the fire was brought under control early in the afternoon. Only material damage was to be deplored, the recycling room was affected in particular.
What solution for users?
However, the recycling center cannot accommodate the public for an indefinite period. Residents and professionals of Quatre Rivières are invited to go to the Saint-Jeoire intercommunal recycling center which will provide, on its own, the usual waste management services. In order to limit the overload of the latter, the support of users is to temporarily reduce non-essential waste intake.
The community has changed the hours of the Saint-Jeoire recycling center by opening on Thursday afternoon. Hours are as follows: Monday to Thursday, 1 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. (closed on Sunday).
