Two vehicles caught fire in an underground car park this Monday morning located on rue Le-Corbusier in Geneva. Firefighters arrived on scene around 8 a.m. and were able to bring the fire under control approximately two hours later.

The fire generated a large cloud of smoke causing extensive damage to the two floors of the car park, mainly to the vehicles parked there. One person had to be taken to hospital. The apartments in the building located just above were not too affected. To make all the smoke disappear, a long smoke extraction operation was necessary. No details have been provided on the causes of the fire.
