A real drama. A passerby died after being stabbed in a parking lot on Sunday in Marcq-en-Baroeul (North), near Lille, said a police source, specifying that a suspect was arrested.
“A passerby was the target of a stabbing in a parking lot, for no reason” according to the first elements of the investigation, indicated the police source, specifying that the events took place around 6 p.m.
The victim, a 58-year-old man, was walking the dog of one of his friends along the Roubaix canal, according to France Bleu. That's when a homeless man stabbed him.
An altercation a few minutes before?
A jogger doctor gave the victim a cardiac massage before help arrived, but to no avail.
Contacted by AFP, the prefecture confirmed “a murder late in the afternoon” in Marcq-en-Baroeul, without giving further details.
Two men, aged 50 and 53, were arrested by the police. One of them would be the alleged perpetrator. This murder could be linked to an altercation that occurred in a business, a few minutes before the attack.
