Scorer at the start of the match, Adam Buksa was not enough for Poland to keep the Netherlands in check for their entry into Euro 2024 (1-2). Przemyslaw Frankowski also started.

Buksa decisive, Frankowski manhandled

With the heavy absences of Arkadiusz Milik, withdrawn, and especially of Robert Lewandowski, diminished and on the bench, Adam Buksa had a lot to do to resist the pressure put on his shoulders. The RC Lens center forward was quick to respond perfectly. A quarter of an hour into the game, the imposing Polish figure (1.91m) dominated Virgil van Dijk in the air – sorry – and uncrossed his head to deceive Bart Verbruggen (1-0, 16′). Against all expectations, Poland was ahead in the score.

Michal Probierz’s men nonetheless suffered from the Dutch waves (2′, 9′, 20′, 22′, 25′) before the Orange finally find the key through the inevitable Cody Gakpo (1-1, 29′). In all the good offensive moves, the Liverpool winger made the Polish defense and a courageous Przemyslaw Frankowski in the first place. Dangerous in bits (32′, 59′), the Biało-Czerwoni continue to make new and numerous Dutch attacks (42′, 45+1′, 46′, 54′, 65′, 73′), decidedly lacking in effectiveness. That was without counting on the incoming Wout Weghorst, lying in wait in the Polish area (1-2, 83′) to crack Wojciech Szczesny. Bart Verbruggen disgusted the Biało-Czerwoni at the end of the match (89′, 90+2′, 90+5′).

Valiant but dominated, Adam Buksa, Przemyslaw Frankowski and their teammates will have the opportunity against Poland next Friday (6 p.m.). A few hours before the clash of this group D between the Netherlands and France.
